Dear YanikIIPmember,

What's Yanik's Hot Sheet you ask?
Good question.
You see, I spend tons of money buying new information (about $20,000.00 last year), checking out new products, attending seminars, reviewing material people send, reading a ton of books and newsletters, etc. etc. So I've decided to share with you what's new, what's hot and what's going on inside this periodic newsletter.
You'll find this filled with resources, tips, and stuff I recommend. You'll only hear from me when I've got some cool stuff to share (unless you tell me to bug off by clicking the link at the bottom).

--------------------------------- "Hot Sheeter" #1: Big Tip ---------------------------------
Want to make your web site more believable and credible? Of course. Here's one of the big secrets….use photos. I mean it - it's simple but it works. People on the web are skeptical. They've been burned before. They've been ripped off.
Show prospects visiting your "virtual" world that you are real. Photos (not Hollywood style shots) are best. Check out www.instantinternetprofits.com and notice all the photos we use (bank statements, people's face with their testimonials, pictures of me, screenshots of websites, etc. etc.). Doesn't that seem to give some credibility to what I'm saying? You bet! And I've got a tough road because I'm trying to convince people I can help them make money online (something they've heard a million times already).
Even better, if your product or service has more inherent credibility than that - you're home free! Think how easy this is. Next time you're face-to-face with a client or customers just whip out your digital camera and snap away. Or if you're selling ebooks or other digital "stuff" - start using headshot photos of yourself instead of those ebook covers you see everywhere. I bet you'll see an increase in response because people want to buy from people.
One caveat: Don't make your photos so big that your page loads slowly. That spells death for your site. Work with your web designer for them to reduce the size of your graphics and keep everything as small as possible.
------------------------------------------------- Hot Sheeter #2: Reach (All) Your Goals -------------------------------------------------
Back in 1998 I read a book that started me on the path towards success and achievement. I spent the time in 1998 to create a list of things I wanted for my life and my personal values.
This was not an easy exercise but it has paid massive dividends ever since. You need to take some real good thinking time and sit down to come up with this - but it's worth it. My list of personal values was an exercise directly from the book. Each morning I spend about 15 minutes thinking about my list of what I want in my life, my values and my goals.
It's all inside a wonderful book called "The 10 Natural Laws of Successful Time and Life Management: Proven Strategies for Increased Productivity and Inner Peace" by Hyrum Smith (founder of Franklin Quest now Franklin Covey). You can easily pick it up on Amazon or BN.com. Or here's the direct link: http://10lawsbook.yanikrecommends.com
Now before the start of this year I spent a lot of time thinking about why I've reached certain goals and I've fallen short on others. The realization went back to something in the Hyrum Smith book and put to use in the Franklin Planner System.
It's simply to break down large tasks into much smaller intermediate steps and set deadlines for each step. It sounds so simple and basic, right? Most really powerful things are. I went back and looked at my first major web project - "Instant Sales Letters" and I had taken the time to set up my end goal and then the intermediary tasks to get me there. Bingo! Grab this book and really spend some time with it.
------------------------------------------------ Hot Sheeter #3: NEW Release - Mind Motivators ------------------------------------------------
My good friend Alex Mandossian and I have just released '21 Mind-Motivators'
http://www.mind-motivators.com
These are 21 top-secret methods to instantly (and ethically) persuade prospects to buy now and start influencing customers to keep buying forever… no matter what business you're in.
We were scheduled to go for 2 hours but Alex and I got so deep into each of these psychological tactics that our call lasted over 3 meaty hours.
In fact, we got flooded with raving reviews like this one: "Thanks for the wonderful tele-seminar...I've had to pay $100 just for the international call, but it was well worth it. You didn't just over-deliver by an hour, you included loads of bonuses & real life examples that anyone can relate to. Best of all, everyone of these techniques are true principles that are not limited to a certain time, geographic region or business. When applied properly, even a few of these, should produce massive returns."
"The 21 Mind-Motivators course really crystallized my vision and marketing sense. Now I can look at other sites & marketing pieces and literally extract what makes readers tick and what doesn't then apply it to my business!!!" - M. Jamal London, England

In fact, this information is so powerful you need to promise to only use this information in an ethical manner.

------------------------------------------------- Hot Sheeter #4: Internet Success Story -------------------------------------------------
'There's nothing better than receiving a success story from someone using my material.
I love it!
An unknown Michigan man sent me an email over a year ago saying how much he loved my stuff and was starting to see some success. Great, I filed it away in our comments folder. Then he sent me an update with proof he made over $47,752.20 in 49 Days. Now I was *really* impressed but I didn't know he was just getting started.
This Michigan man (not so unknown anymore) applied my material plus all kinds of his own twists, turns and techniques to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars! In fact, I've now picked up many things from him. It's not often someone who has legitimately made this much money online comes forward to reveal exactly how they've done it. It's worth checking out.

------------------------------------------------ Hot Sheeter #5: Make Your Valentine Happy ------------------------------------------------
Yes, I know Valentine's Day has passed but maybe you got in trouble (like I did) for not giving your Valentine a card. I don't know what it is with women but they love cards. And for some reason I'm a typical guy who always seem to forget them. Now one of my students has the answer - she has set up a new site (using 33 days to Online Profits as her guide - http://www.33daystoonlineprofits.com) for the romantically hopeless. :)
It's called Love Letters Now - check it out: http:///www.lovelettersnow.com
------------------------------- On the Road With Yanik -------------------------------
February has been a little crazy - I've been away more than I've been home. Speaking in New York City, attending a seminar in LA, off to Tampa and then finishing up in Phoenix.
In New York, Missy and I had a chance to see Cabaret. I recognized "Mr. C" from Happy Days playing on of the lead roles but I didn't notice "Doogie Howser" was another leading character. The show was pretty amazing and you might check it out if you're in the Big Apple.
My speech in New York was at 9:30 pm on Saturday (tough spot). After a long day of seminar speakers and meetings - it's hard for most attendees to make these night sessions. But surprisingly I kept most people up - I think it was the flying mouse pads (you'll know what I mean if you see me speak) :)
Then after my speech I had a craving for sushi (which Missy would tell you I have every day!) however we didn't get out of the seminar room until 11:30 pm. Good news - just as you would expect in the city that never sleeps we found a sushi restaurant open until 2 am. YUM!
Then I had a few days to recover before hitting the road again to literally fly-in and fly-out of LA for Mark Joyner's seminar. I came in to see 2 of my big marketing heroes, Joe Sugarman and Ted Nicholas. I never had a chance to meet either one in person and it was really special. I swear I listened to Ted Nicholas' CD set "Magic Words That Bring You Riches" from Nightingale/Conant (www.nightingale.com) at least a dozen times when I was working for a living. I just kept listening and listening and listening to his priceless wisdom until it became a part of me.
And finally I just got back from a secret meeting in Tampa, Florida. It was a small group of Internet marketers getting together to network and brainstorm. Some of the people you'd recognize immediately and others are virtually unknown (yet quietly raking in millions online). I needed to thaw out since we've had snow at home but the meetings went all day so I don't even think I saw 10 minutes of sun while down there.

Well that does it for this first issue of Yanik's Hot Sheet. Please let me know what you think about it. What should I add? Take out? I want to hear your rants and raves - send them to: mailto:yanik@surefiremarketing.com
All the best,
Yanik
P.S. Stay warm! As I write this I'm looking out my window at over 18 inches of snow that just got dumped on in my area. :)
