Last Friday I took my mom in for her 4th chemo treatment. Let me tell you, she’s one incredible woman! This is her 3rd bout with cancer (breast, ovarian and ovarian again) and I really think she’s going to beat it this time! But I wasn’t thinking that just a few months ago.
In November of last year, her cancer marker numbers were up above 50,000 (normal is 30). They had been climbing slowly but she was looking great so her doctor didn’t think it was necessary to do anything except wait. Now at 50,000 he was alarmed and from the tone of his voice it didn’t really sound promising. My mom had to be transported via wheelchair to her appointments and she was swollen like a Thanksgiving Float from all the cancerous fluid in her body.
It didn’t look good and I was preparing for the worst.
She wasn’t interested in chemo because she had given up hope. There’s nothing worse than giving up hope and I knew I had to do something fast. I called up my friend, John Harricharan (www.powerpause.com) for some help. You see, John helps people with the 3 biggest problems we all face – money, health or relationships.
John worked with my mom to reignite that lost hope – he re-lit the pilot lamp that went out in her. And the results have been amazing …
My mom decided to fight and our whole family support system was behind her 100%. After her second chemo treatment her cancer marker numbers went down to a staggering 3000. Her doctor thought the lab had made a mistake because they weren’t used to seeing such high numbers – he was sure it was 30,000 instead. 3 weeks later after the third chemo treatment the next blood results came in. My mom called up sounding like she was jumping for joy. The numbers were down to 575!! WOW!!
No mistakes this time.
It was working – the traditional treatment of the chemo along with the alternative treatment help from John was doing the job. In fact, my mom’s doctor looked at her last Friday and said, “She’s a miracle woman”. I have to agree but I don’t think she could have done it alone. My personal opinion is her oncologist wouldn’t be so amazed if chemo by itself could produce the results we witnessed. No way, there was something more.

This is called a “delayed pop” and you can set the delay time interval for anytime you like. And there is also a count-down part to this pop-up (the 10 minute timer that counts down).
The psychology behind this is very important.
I’m using scarcity here. The prospect is engaged by the sales letter and they are reading it. Then all of a sudden the pop-up comes up offering them a special deal only if they act within 10 minutes. They see the countdown. Tick-tock, tick-tock :)

For some time now I’ve been threatening to put out a “real” book <GASP> about immigrant success stories.
You see, my family is from Russia and we came over in 1976with $256 to our names. My father managed to start his own business just 2 years later and build it into a 2.5 million enterprise. I’ve been fascinated with the concept and mindset of starting from scratch and building fortunes.

Just recently we ran a “scratch and dent” sale on a bunch of our products. You see, my wife and I had bought a new house and some items were slightly damaged in the move. I put out a simple email explaining the situation to subscribers and we sold-out of the all the inventory in just a few days.

The fact is, this technique has worked forever. Robert Collier inside his classic “Robert Collier Letterbook” (a must read if you can find it) talks about running ‘scratch and dent’ sales in the 30’s and 40’s.
Here’s the marketing principle at work: When you give people a real “reason why” they will buy.
And guess what? As you can see it still get results today and I have even more proof from a customer…
